Wow, I love this story. I read it all in one sitting yesterday, and was just thinking how more of it would be a nice distraction when I refreshed my friends page and there it was!

I love how you portray Carlisle, and Rose, and Mickey and Jake. And I love James, and your other original characters too.

The mystery is fascinating, and I'm just as eager to find out how the case is resolved as I am in Rose and Peter's relationship.

Now that he's told her about Natalie, will she tell him about the Doctor?

I really love this story, keep up the good work!

Wow--reading it all in one go? That's quite a time sink! I'm glad you're enjoying it--the characters, the mystery, the romance, all of it.

Will she tell him about the Doctor? Oh, eventually....

i literally squeed when i saw "things progress". And all throughout this chapter too.

i both love and hate how the tension of the case and their relationship is slowly building (are they ready now?). And i'm glad to say i found them both wonderfully in-character, especially Rose's interpretation of Peter (i supposed that's what i'll call it).

can't wait for the next innstallment!

If there's one thing my Muse is not, it's speedy. Things will ebb and flow, as they often seem to do in life--for every few steps forward, there will be a step back (reference, two chapters ago ;)). Which is a wordy way of saying that I'm glad you're appreciating the tension of the slow build.

Lovely. I can't wait to read more.

Was Ripley's daughter named Dakota? I remember Cheyenne or something like that. Doesn't really matter, just a random thought.

I literally yelled "AUGH!"--because, of course, you're absolutely right. I'll just go beat my head into the wall for a bit; that's something I should have caught ages ago.

It's fixed. Many, many thanks!

Not to be completely pedantic, but I believe the character's name is actually Shyanne... double-checking BBC site.

Yes, it's Shyanne.

Now that Peter's confessed Blackpool, it seems like Rose is going to have no choice but to confess the Doctor. He *could* hear about it from somewhere else, but Mickey and Jake seem really unlikely to talk. I'm really curious to see how that develops, if at all (but it feels like it has to!) Looking forward to Thursday!

When Peter hears about the Doctor, it will be from Rose's own lips. And yes, that chapter is already written. :)

If'n you're interested in any iterations thereof, let me know (I made 'em). The ones in my userpics labeled 'Blackpool DW - TWoT - Carlisle Traits 1' and 'Blackpool DW - TWoT - Carlisle Traits 2' have all of the 'emotes' for Carlisle I've made thus far. It's very easy for me to mix and match.

Sometimes, I wonder how unintentionally kismet-y (er, sorry, that's my inner Johnny Bravo getting out) situations can get between Peter and Rose. The shivers & sparks between them are starcrossed, but I thought the cold breeze sending a shiver down his spine just before she asked about the chip shop was kind of fateful. Perhaps a floor is just a floor, a room just a room, and a cold breeze is just a cold breeze here...even if I'm seeing something else in the wind. Wonder how he's going to react when he finds out just how involved she was at stopping Lumic. That's going to be an interesting scene, her telling and him reacting.

Sometimes a cold breeze is just a cold breeze, but it might have been a bit of foreshadowing as well. (looove the Johnny Bravo reference!)

Peter's reactions...well, I'd not be giving anything away to say that like the man, they're a bit complex. Which is part and parcel of why this story is turning out to be so long!
