I have I told you lately that I love you? NINE! NINE and Rose! Nine and Rose first thing in the morning. It was gorgeous. The discussion in the library was really wonderful especially all of the inner dialog for Rose.

Kyoto!? Just yank the lovely rug right out from under us, why don't you? Ouch. Still, such a beautifully written piece. The slow wistfulness that turned to slow, languid kisses, that turned to passion led to a real feeling of being in the moment.

Kyoto, indeed. I spent a lot of time thinking about this one, for one key reason: while I *love* reading good Nine/Rose smut, I had a terrible time coming up with a way to get them together that didn't feel...off to me. I have this thing, when I write relationships, that there has to be a balance of some sort between the characters (poor EGT--she listened to me natter on ad infinitum about this when I was writing TWoT!), and for so much of Nine and Rose's time together, I didn't feel like it was plainly visible. (YMMV).

And then I started thinking about BW/PotW, and how protective Nine is of Rose, and it all kind of clicked: what if some of that was driven by the two of them *finally* having consummated their relationship just beforehand? After that, well, the story was written in a day.

Um...so, yeah. Kyoto. Sorry about that. ;)
