Well it 'could' have gone a bit better! I thought Rose and Ruby would get along but I wasn't prepared for Elias to go all quite and mysterious on us. I'm sure its just because he's intrigued by Rose and her story, not anything more suspicious. You say he doesn't know what Rose does for a living? Does he suspect? Is he worried that Rose is messing Peter about? I hope that the mystery of Rose's job doesn't get in the way of their friendship for long. I know he came around a bit in the end but I'm still a bit perturbed by his behaviour.
On another subject- Yes Rose you need to tell Peter how he is different to the Doctor and tell him how you feel about moving in together :o)

Elias is very Peter-esque in this chapter: Sitting back, observing, taking everything in for future thought and analysis. Rose is an utter mystery to him, most especially because what he's read in the papers doesn't mesh with what he's heard of her from Peter, and how she's acting in the flesh. He's a detective, and he loves working over a mystery, no matter how small.
He's definitely *not* up to no good. I promise. :)
