You created a whole other world, and it's rich and full and believable and wonderful and WOW.

I literally could not stop thinking about this idea. As soon as P_C and you started really talking about it, it just...it was *there*. Fully formed. Clear as day. And begging to be written.

I look forward to your further comment ;)

(ps--I think you're both equally to blame. And I thank you, both, heartily for it)

Crud. It looks as though I'm not going to get a chance to reply fully before we have to leave for the farm. :(

If you'd stopped ogling Diesel jeans, this wouldn't be an issue!

Have a wonderful time on the farm :)

Wow. I'm so blown away by your creative brain.

Interesting right turn. Somehow this is a little sad to me. They seem happy enough, but somehow it made me melancholy. I picture them older and a little more hurt and broken in this fic. Especially Rose. It could also be that I'm just as gloomy today as the weather here and you should pay me no mind.

Maybe because I adore who Peter and Rose are in the 'real' Pete's world. (All the alt. alt universe stuff could get confusing aye?) I think, even if Peter and Rose had to go through so much...I'm glad it was a left turn. This fic made me like who they became in TWoT even more which I didn't think was possible.

Well...Rose is certainly more broken in this fic. She's had a far harder time of it, and the one thing which she loved and gave her purpose has been yanked away from her, through no (well, very little) fault of her own. Peter...Peter's had a hard time, too, but he's not nearly so broken as the version in ASTG. It's just..different. *shrugs*

I'm actually fascinated by your reply, because there *is* an odd note of melancholy to the fic, which I'd not really noticed before.

Oops my reply ended up below. (I think maybe a lack of sleep has rendered me stupid..er.)

Rose just makes me ache in this fic. I don't know why. It's a whole different side of her.

Oh, absolutely. The experiences make the person--and Rose has had some terrible experiences. All because Peter wasn't a DI in Kendal.

They are so much softer in this - it's lovely.

I like the headbutting in TWoT's verse, but it's so neat to see a non snarky Peter that hasn't been through hell fire.

Thank you (I hope you're feeling better!!).

What was weird for me, was that writing a non-snarky, non-broken Peter wasn't nearly as hard as I expected it to be.

You know it could be that if I had read this first I would feel the same about this Rose and Peter vs. TWoT Rose and Peter. This is a testament to how beautifully you write them and how rich your characters are. I don't know if I'm making sense today at all (my boss at work seems to think not) so maybe I should just stop while I can.

Huh. (that's not a bad 'huh'. That's a "I'm going to think about this all day and drive myself mad analyzing it because it's a fascinating idea" 'huh').

I think you're making sense, but then I'm a bit loopy today as well. ;)
