(no subject)
ok, so it'd definitely been a while...not a lot has been goin on, but here are the exciting things...
i finally went to the renaissance festival for the first time ever! it was great! the sword swallower was amazing! next time we go, we'll have to get there a lot sooner. we were only there for a couple of hours. and at the end, getting out was a huge hassle... christer and jessica had parked closer to the entrance, and david and i parked closer to where we came in. so christer offered to drive us to our car, since it was a long walk...a lotta good that did! we ended up just sitting in christer's car for like at least 20 mins. in the end, david and i just walked to my car. we thought it'd be packed over there too, but there was like no one there! we ended up getting out in like 2 mins! then we went to the gas station we were gonna meet up at. and guess what! that gas station was selling pumpkins! i told david to remind me to stop there on our way back, and we had both completely forgotten, but it turned out to be the same exact station we were supposed to meet up at! i was so excited! i bought this huge pumpkin and a bunch of other smaller ones. i ended up spending like $60 on pumpkins! but the guy selling them was really cool. he gave us some free cider too...and it was really good!
i went to new york again! this time i went with erin. and instead of driving there, we took the bus. it left at like 7 am and it was in dc, so we had to wake up like super early to get there in time. so the sane person would go to bed early so they could wake up in time...but no, not me... i decide to take a nap the day before and not be able to fall asleep until like 45 mins before i have to wake up... so i'm goin on an immense lack of sleep and we go to the metro to catch a ride to union station (cause the greyhound station is behind it) and when we get there, the metro isn't open... so we come back and get directions to the station cause we're gonna have to drive there. we get to the place, and after looking for parking, get there with only minutes to spare. and again, any sane person would be able to sleep on a 4-hour long bus ride, but again no... but all's well. we get to new york! we get tickets for RENT! (even though they're behind each other and not next...) we go to a pizzeria and i get this gianormus piece of pineapple and ham pizza (and finish most of it to my surprise...) and then go to the show. the playbill was wrong in saying some of the people who were playing the characters, cause there were people in the playbill who were supposed to be in the show that weren't. but it was still a great show. it gets different every time i see it...but then again, it's a play, not a movie. but not for long! it comes out nov. 23rd! i'm so excited! they changed some of the songs and completely omitted some of them, so the story's a bit different. and we see a character in the movie that we never actually see in the play (only hear about), but i still can't wait!
