I've been hacked! and my laptop is dead!!
OMG I AM SO PISSED OFF!!!! So far 2011 is turning out to be a very bad year... UGH!!! TWO computer problems in the same day!!!
I must offer a huge thanks to tsukihysteria for letting me know via twitter that something funky was happening on my facebook.
At some point last night, a keylogger found it's way onto my computer unbeknownst to me. I signed into my email...and well...that would be the last time that would ever happen. My email password has been compromised and apparently, they used my email to contact my facebook friends along with my email address contacts.
Apparently, I have been mugged at gun point in the UK and am now currently begging money off people on my facebook friendlist and email contacts.
I wish I had enough money to visit the UK. And if I was there, I would have probably made an excited post on LJ and facebook and everywhere else. But alas... The big tip off was them emailing my sister TWICE and I was standing right in front of her... she emailed them back and told them 'nice try' XD
I think I've got the keylogger off my desktop. At least I hope I have... Let's just say, I won't be logging into anything with the keyboard anymore. I'll just use the on-screen keyboard since keyloggers can't track mouse clicks.
But to make matters worse, I cannot access my email anymore. The asshole who hacked me went in and changed my email security questions and I have no idea how to get control of my account back. If anyone knows how to contact Yahoo, please let me know...
So..If I have friended you on facebook or if I have your email address and you get an email from me (my name is apparently signed "Jessyca" which is my alternate spelling), ignore it. It is not me. I am not in the UK and I have not been mugged at gun point. I'm still in Texas.
And then, naturally, on top of all of this...my laptop has died. I was able to turn it on, I managed to get into some sites to change my log in information and whatnot, but then the computer froze. Like completely froze. I forced it to restart and well...it got stuck in a loop. Apparently my Master File Table is corrupt....the thing that controls every single file. Yay.... So I'm pissed about that as well...We're going to see if we can get it fixed, but I bet it will be difficult... /CRY
2011 sucks so far.
