MUSIC: Myth and Stars - Casey Stratton
I don't usually pimp music on my Livejournal...but you know what, independent artists sometimes need all the help they can get and this guy is the epitome of Indie Artist....
Casey Stratton just released his new album today and I only really knew it because I follow him on twitter.... and he follows me >_>...which kind of makes me nervous sometimes but whatever....especially when he comments back on stuff I tweet D:
ANYWAY...I ran and bought it pretty quickly...and I wanted to do my part to get his name out >_>
His music is gorgeous...and I think this new album, Myth and Stars
(which you even can listen in full here without having to buy, but I recommend doing so, and even checking out his other music as well

It's a double album, is possibly his best. At least to me... I'm only about half way through it but I bought it without question because his music is usually gorgeous and yeah...
He used to have a recording contract with Sony Music several years ago,released one album under them (Standing on the Edge), but he left when they didn't hold up their end of the deal, aka not promoting him, or you know....just giving him promotional materials that he could put up himself.
So he went back to indie... And he's seriously indie, living in a small apartment in Michigan, recording his album in his living room :)
Anyway....Seriously, I think his music is gorgeous and deserves to be heard more.
I'm done with the pimping >_>
