on a totally different side note
why am i expected to change the way i have been brough up to pronounce words. It is obvious that people know what i am talking about when they give me the "correct" pronunciation, so why bother telling me.
I know they don;t think it is cos i am ignorant of how to pronounce it, I know it has something to do with thier uptigh attitudes of "if you live in the UK you should speak like you are from here"
I dont think it is fair to me to expect me to change who I am to make other people happy... especially not over the difference between to-may-to and to-mah-to. It is not like it is offensive or hurting anyone.
