I interviewed for a pretty tough consulting job on Tuesday. First I had to convince the recruiter I was capable of doing it, then I had to convince the client who had already turned away many applicants and fired a consultant who wasn't cutting it. This morning, on my way home from another interview with a headhunter, the recruiter from Tuesday called me to say I got the job.

I start on Monday. It's only a six to eight week contract, but the company is growing and they have open positions to fill so I'm planning to be uber-awesome for the length of the contract so they won't ever want me to leave. The office is five minutes from home so I'll be able to come home on lunch and the pay is outstanding for temp work.
