Sketches!
Sorry for the lateness- I was hoping to have these up Saturday night but I didn't get them all done and then I went to my dad's to see a hockey game with my uncle. So you get them now. Enjoy =D
1.BBQ set-up where Barda does the heavy lifting while Scott sets the table.
Because Scott and Barda are both awesome AND adorable. It also made me realize that Scott is one (of many) of the characters I should actually decide how I want to draw.
2.Barda actually gets to have a barbecue that doesn't result in total chaos
aka- Barda threatens the limbs of the three biggest troublemakers- Ted, Booster and Wally. Wally is also one of the characters I need to decide how to draw. Scott's mundane treatment of Barda threatening people is hilarious. Oh Frees, why so adorable?
3.Bea tries to barbecue and accidentally sets Ted on fire. Shenanigans ensue.
It's not a barbeque without someone being set on fire by the grill, Bea, accident or any combination thereof. Poor put-upon Rex- extinguishing teammates AND getting dug through by frantic best-friends.
4.Ted showing Booster the wonders of water balloons.
Water balloons are, judging by Booster's expression of intense focus, lost technology in the future. And like Guy would just LET them stockpile water balloons.
5.Guy and Bea fighting over who gets to grill while Tora watches helpless/exasperated
In a rare fit of wisdom, Guy debates the consequences of debating with a woman that lights on fire while holding an object with flammable material.
6.Booster and Blue Beetle fighting for the last hot dog/Booster and Ted make a bunch of "sausage" jokes. J'onn facepalms
Okay, so I played with the prompts a bit. No joking and not really fighting for but like those two wouldn't have a weiner battle (that place your mind went? that was intentional). J'onn's shirt, I'll bet, was gotten when he mistakenly asked Ted what was proper barbeque function material. He never asked Ted for fashion advice after that.
7.Covetous!Ted while Innocent!Booster eats a popsicle
I'm sure it's no where NEAR what the prompter intended, but like hell Ted would just let Booster hog all the popsicles XD
1.something gay with Booster and Ted and the rest of the league lounging around post-supper all "we can see you, you know"
Obligatory Boostle. You know it's time to pack it up when those two are drunk enough to forget they're in public. And Sue is totally recording it for prosperity- er, I mean blackmail.
2.Dmitri bringing borscht to the BBQ to the dismay of all
Well, to the dismay of all but Tora who not only is too sweet to be dismayed, but I'm sure she grew up having something similar in her country. Also Max couldn't wear a suit to this because J'onn and Captain Atom wouldn't have worn clothes and, for an informal event, it would be best if they appeared in public not looking NAKED. But Max is still wearing a tie because he's goddamn Max Lord.
3.J'onn trying to BBQ an oreo/Chocos are a perfectly fine for BBQing. ...though, only J'onn thinks this
Forgiving the fact that J'onn is barbequing with FIRE, I'm sure he'd actually attempt it. So we've got Dimitri, Booster, Ted, Ralph, J'onn, Captain Atom, L-Ron (holding the plate), Power Girl (yet another character i need to work on) and Wally attempting to snatch BBQ-chocos.
4.TEAM. WIDE. WATERMELON. SEED. WAR.
I don't know how well a team wide watermelon seed war would go since, as we see here, PG would rip apart anyone that hit here- such as Booster, the only guy stupid enough to attempt spitting seeds at the fastest man alive. And also I think spitting out seeds is disgusting, but that's just me.
5.Guy's proclivity to sunburn (ah, redheads), and Ted's amusement.
On the plus side, it's getting Tora to rub him? Yeah, Ted's so not letting him live it down.
6.Kiddie pool full of ice, beer, and superheroes.
That's a.... damn lot of alcohol. So we've got Ralph and Sue (so adorable- damn you, dc!), Captain Atom, J'onn and PG and Wally and Ted. I wanted to put Dimitri mowing down Guy and Booster at football in the back, but it was already getting full up.
