2010.07.31 Shiyare Offshots
Promised to write about what they didn't include, and here it is:
1. During the opening talk, Aiba tells a story about how he recently went to Kyoto and visited a cave that is known as a patron spirit to pregnant women. Apparently what you do is navigate a pitch-dark cave, and if you make it to the very end, it means you'll have a safe pregnancy.
Anyway, Aiba takes on the challenge and eventually does make it to the end of the cave... whereupon he finds that he is the only one present who is NOT a pregnant woman. (*snerk*)
When Matsuko becomes part of the audience and Arashi restarts the show, they once again kick off with a word-for-word retelling of Aiba's Kyoto adventure, heedless of our (collective) sense of deja-vu.
2. During the opening talk, Matsuko mentions that he likes mail-order shopping and that he once bought an entire box of cello-tape.
The staff produce a box of tape for Arashi to play with. It is humongous. There is probably enough tape to last you a lifetime. There are also two kinds - the sticky kind and the super-sticky kind. Everyone immediately tries to find out how sticky the super-sticky kind is.

Then Nino gets in on it and starts to tape up his hands.
Then MatsuJun gets on it and tries to tape Ohno's nose to his forehead (unsuccessfully). After five minutes of tape!fail, Ohno finally goes, "This is all YOUR fault!" to Sho, and then tapes his own nose to his forehead to satisfy Jun once and for all. (This gives him a pig-like snout though, hehe).
3. If Sho were a new-half, he'd be Shoko, and if Nino were a new-half, he'd be Ninoko (according to Matsuko, anyway). But apparently, among the gay community, everyone refers to Ohno as "Pamela". Yeah. He's so popular with gays that they've privately given him a stage name (without his knowing) LOL
4. The part where Sho plays Matsuko's boyfriend actually dragged on for AGES during the filming, until my back hurt from sitting in the same position for too long.
Before going backstage, Sho told everyone that he had no idea what he was going to do, and it showed because dithered on stage and had nothing interesting to say to Matsuko.
At first Nino stood watching from the left side of the stage, next to MatsuJun and Ohno. But at one point, he suddenly walked matter-of-factly off the stage, went around behind the cameras, and disappeared through the curtains. I thought he'd gone for a quick drink/emergency break but it turned out he'd done it so he could burst out from the curtains and become part of Sho's scene.
He probably saw Sho floundering and dove in to save him XD So sweet♥
(Didn't know what Aiba was doing there, though. It was quite a shock when he burst out as well, since I hadn't seem him actually move.)
That's as much as I can remember, guys, sorry >.<
I'm kinda weirded out how I missed being on the set for the epic Oguri Shun episode by maybe just a couple of hours (they seem to film multiple episodes a day) o_0 but I'm so happy I got to see Arashi in the flesh!
Also: Aiba looks really really pretty in person. Overalls are smashing on him ^^bbb
