Its not a crazy easy process. in fact, the only time it's ever proven to be really productive as a process is when I seclude myself and give a 48 hours to run it thru my brain before mentioning it, hypothetically to anyone else.

There was a think I was watching in the waiting room at Ortho the other day, some early show, had a couple who were also psychologists, who wrote a book about the art of argument. The one KEY thing I walked away with is "The person is not the problem, the problem is the problem."

Sometimes even if a problem is really up there in intensity I try to recast this and think, "If this wasn't ____ but a stranger, would I feel the same." Bias is crazy poisonous. Those moment when I think maybe I'm too serious or vice versa (not serious enough), replacing players works best.

I guess its best to always be looking for new techniques, columns and checks, etc. Always evolving.

Did I ever tell you how much it messed with my head when OpenCanvas first came onto the scene of on-line artists? It was the same time The OC premiered. THAT was a confusing couple of years for me, but it geared me to start getting used to which forums I frequent would be more like to be talking about a TV-Show and/or a Painting Program. But it did take me over a year and I like to think myself less of an idiot... not that I don't have my moments. If that makes sense.
