This isn't a pairing I'm really into, but I still like the framework of the story, and the lyrics you've used. Also, Ron's attempts to get out of his obligation. ;)

Awwww!

You know Ron is in love--and grown up--by how easily he agrees to even do this. But he's still Ron because of how he feels when the whole things starts.

But my favorite part is Padma's explation of all the politics that are going on at the party that on one hand seem so complicated but otoh are completely understandable. I especially love that it brings to mind a ton of conversations with and about Parvati not getting married just because she doesn't want to (and that makes me think of model!Parvati and her newly discovered hardness that will not be worn down by her mom no matter how much she wants to take over the party). Love this family!

Also Ron gets family obligations. His opening move will always be an attempt to put it off on a sibling, but he gets that once a parent has it in their mind, one of them will have to do it eventually ( ... )

I love how you handle Ron and Ginny dealing with High Society, and how Padma and Draco are always "you'll be fine and this is easy and oh, also, love you so it's all good". Very well done.

(Also, Percy and Oliver are totally the ones who will take over the buffet.)

They totally are, even if Percy doesn't realize it yet.

Thank you so much! As you know there's more of that in the sequel (which is finally almost done, yay!) so I'm really glad you liked it!
