this week in tv

One more week of Justified. Two more weeks of Community. Three more weeks of HIMYM, H50, and Castle. Glee yammers away until June, but I probably won't be talking about it. (Did I mention that I love endings? Because I really do.)

Glee, "Born This Way." You guys should just read the recaps someone is making
sistermagpie do on tumblr; this week's is here. Hearing Kurt singing that Norma Desmond song (though like Meg I wish it had been a better song from a better show; let's stick to Sondheim, guys) reminded me that we actually haven't had many Kurt solos since he split for Dalton. I liked the "Barbra Streisand" number mostly because I love whenever Kurt and Puck come up with a plan together. And then "Somewhere Only We Know" was really adorable, especially when Blaine decided to take over the piano (an outdoor piano at an Ohio high school?) but all the hugging reminded me of the end of "Love Is a Battlefield" where everyone has their own special hug.

Justified, "Reckoning." Again, impossible to talk about! I teared up when Raylan was staring at the picture of him, his mother and Aunt Helen, and choked up again when he couldn't shoot Dickie because of her memory. So, so, so well done, amazing show. Cannot wait to see what happens next week!

Community, "Applied Anthropology and Culinary Arts." I'm excited that Shirley having the baby is apparently not going to keep her out of paintball. I love Andre. I sort of liked Jeff goading Britta into actually helping Shirley instead of just lecturing to her. I really loved their whole weird conversation about the baby after he was born. And I'd forgotten that Shirley said that Andre was coming around Labor Day-which would make the baby not very early at all. Which you'd think that the OB/GYN would have worked out but really? Evs! The handshake subplot was a little annoying, though.
