This past weekend, turned out to be a bit disastrous for me. I had went to attend the Cabell Midland Prom with my girlfriend whom I broke up with Wednesday of last week. Well before I get into detail, I must say that I really didn't want to go in the first place, but thanks to my pride as a man, I followed through with my plans to take her to prom. Well after I picked her up, and several pictures were taken of us by her parents, after which we proceeded to get pictures of us taken at her school.
After pictures were done, we decided we were hungry so we went to Burger King for food, then to the mall to kill some time. After words, we went to Wal-mart of all places to kill some time. After we were done inside, we went back to the car. As we were pulling out disaster struck when the left turn signal area of my car ran into the passenger rear corner of a black Limited Edition Monte Carlo.
Well you see, the situation wouldn't have been so bad had I not left the scene of the accident. In my mind I was scared, for I had never hit another car before, so my thinking pattern was a bit distorted. Well after I left the parking lot, I went to the Cabell Midland high school which upon arrival, I was arrested (no cuffs) and taken to the Huntington Police Department. I had stayed in a glass room for about an hour and a half when they had me to fill out some forms. After I was finished, I was taken back to the prom which was nearing its end. I had went inside to talk to Nicole who was a little surprised to see me. After talking to her, and realizing her complete apathy towards my situation, I left the school and made it home with no problems.
Today I have started taking care of the situation by going to my insurance company and talking about the incident. So I've settled the problem with the insurance company, next comes the court case. So await further update on that situation.
On a side note, my pride will learn to suffer a bit in the future if a situation like this occurs. Well, thats all I have to say, so I shall be on my way.
