long night...plenty of poetry though, so that's been nice...and plenty of noah snuggles.
(and i know i never endorse music because i hate it when people give me musical advice out of the blue, but some really good study music is Laura Veirs & The Saltbreakers. i'm a big fan. so if during exam time you happen to be downloading porn on limewire to de-stress your little college bodies, grab some of Laura Veirs too.)
i had a meeting with my teacher about the undergrad poetry reading, and i'm excited.
it's not this tuesday,
but the next one.
i'll let you all know.
i'm pretty excited.
so to transition from LJ/internet and back into studying and waiting for the coffee to cool, here's some spectacular poetry by Wallace Stevens:
Out of the window,
I saw how the planets gathered
Like the leaves themselves
Turning in the wind.
I saw how the night came,
Came striding like the color of the heavy hemlocks.
I felt afraid-
And I remembered the cry of the peacocks.
-from Domination of Black.
tomorrow: school, observatory, work, slutty skirt/silly sweater party.
friday: chillin. smoking. gettin drunk and being trashy about it.
