Well, today was a good day because I refused to have a bad day. I worked half day in Torrance and half day in Orange. What started out the day was blah. I got a speeding ticket going to Torrance. Apparently I was going about 79MHP and I did not see the motorcycle CHP camping underneath the overpass where the 405 and 22 meets. Well, when I saw him he was putting his radar gun away and kicking up his kickstand on his bike. Yeap. He got me. Shit. He also cited me for no front plates. BLAH. I have to find my front plate and screw it on now. What a drag. BUT....I am not blaming anyone besides myself. I was speeding and I knew the consequences of not having a front plate. Oh well. Shit happens.
I was pretty upset at first, but I thought it through. I made a choice to just let it go and not stress about it. Stressing about it won't help the matter. Being cranky about it doesn't do shit. It happened. All I can do now is go to court and maybe plead with the judge to go to traffic school for this ticket. Yeah....I have a pending speeding ticket from 2 months ago that I have to go to traffic school for. HAHAHAHA. The way I see it is this....if I can't get second tier traffic school....my insurance will go up for 3 years. Well, it's only money. Being stressed out and upset about it will make life miserable at work. I enjoy my work because I love what I do. I am fairly compensated for my work as well. I don't want to that change. Money will come and go, but my happiness is above all. After I sat there for 20 minutes thinking that I was 100% better.
I got to Orange to install a wireless card for someone. Yes, I know. Very lame. How can this woman not know how to set up her wireless card? She worked in technical support prior to this position. Well, I guess there were external factors at home so I'll play ball. Unfortunately she left her laptop there but no wireless card. Great. Oh well. HAHAHAHA. At least our Digital Phone Product Manager was very happy with her new laptop. I configured and deployed the laptop without too much of a problem. Damn Blackberry synch kinda blew it though. For some damn odd reason it created a Calendar item as a sub-folder under Journal and won't allow me to move or delete it since it's sitting on the Exchange mailbox. Worse off it synchs with this Calendar instead of the actual one that has all her appointments. She was happy that I got her BB to work and all the other stuff so this wasn't a biggie. I had to email the Exchange Server admins to fix it on their side. Hopefully they can have it done by tomorrow morning. Oh well. I can't fix everything sometimes.....
I went home pretty late tonight...like the past 2 nights. Short week = crunch time for me. I finished almost everything I wanted to do today so I was very happy coming home.
I called Jenny and talked to her for a while about random stuff. It's nice to talk to someone interesting after a good day's work. Well, it's nice to talk to someone interesting to begin with hahahahaha. Maybe one of these days I'll drop in to see her or she will do the same. Who knows. HAHAHAHA
For dinner I had 4 nice slices of pizza from the night before....LOL. Typical bachelor's dinner. Yeap. I am having one of those insomnia attacks again. Maybe I'll catch up on some reading before heading to bed
