Nightwing is still surveying the lab as the coroner supervises the removal of Dr. Sayers' body from the scene for autopsy.

For starters - do you know what Dr. Sayers was working on?

"She was involved in therapeutic genetic research - specifically, using a synthetic retrovirus to tweak a patient's DNA to treat or cure chronic congenital conditions. She was really quite brilliant, too.." He sounds wistful.

Which would have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the gas contained in these canisters. Add to that the fact that she was found lying on her front, facing the source of the blast, as opposed to on her back with her head to the door...

The meaning in his words is clear. This wasn't an accident. He glances up, looking for the surveillance cameras which are likely melted.

Dr. Edison, we'll need to review any security footage you may have for the hours preceding the explosion, and we'll have to question the whereabouts of all your staff members.

"The gas canisters wouldn't be likely to be used in the current phase of her research, no - but she may have had a sample to heat.."

He nods at the request for the security footage. "We'll give you access at once, of course."
