The Charity Auction
In the Hermes Ballroom, there's a flurry of activity as the staff run around arranging items. A larger shape takes center stage, covered with a red and yellow tarp. Speculation about it runs rampant through the assembled attendees, before the auctioneer steps up to the podium.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Capecon Charity Auction, to benefit the Fair Play Foundation, which does some great work for the community! First up, we'd like to thank everybody who donated items--"
"Come on, let's get to Starfire's bikini already!" comes a shout from the audience, which sends a ripple of laughter through the crowd. The auctioneer rolls his eyes.
"All in good time, folks. I'd like to first introduce our very special guest of honor, Green Lantern Jade, who's kindly offered to help us auction off our items today. We're honored to have her with us. Give her a big hand!"
