Nothing short of a shower will wash it away. Even then, it seems to linger. She's never been sure if the presence is physical or just in the brain. Either way, the smell of rotting human remains isn't something easily forgotten.
She's just come back from the warehouse. Damn place is going to take weeks to finish. Probably months before the stench finally drifts away. People around her are avoiding her like yesterday's fish. The sooner she can get home and grab that shower, the better.
There's someone she has to see first. She descends the steps into a familiar department. Nora's around here somewhere.
