Eternity

Even for one as powerful as he, The Dark Lord has been put to the test. The Rock of Eternity long stood as a keystone for the shifting realities of the multiverse; as stabilizing element if you will. Having been shattered, it’s orderly influence upon ‘reality’ had begun to wane. Even now, other powers vied to wrest control over the nature of ( Read more... )

It's not subtle. The light flares with a sudden brilliance, extinguishing all shadows for a moment. Energy arcs into the shape of an arc, heralding the heroes' arrival with lightning.

Fate wastes no time and fires the first shot -- ankh-shaped bolts straight at Mordru.

"All right JSA, show 'em what we're made of!" commands Mr. Terrific. "Locate your targets. Follow the plan."

"What's the use?" echos Sabbac's voice as his cat yellow eyes drill into Terrific.

Suddenly, Michael feels himself filled with the Deadly Sin of SLOTH

Terrific staggers under the heavy, heavy weight of his own body. His limbs fall lethargically to his side.

A mystical ward appears in the air between Sabbac and Terrific, drawing the power the demon is using to influence the hero into itself.

"Now, now. We'll have none of that, demon," says the Wizard, cursing himself under his breath, but too stubborn to admit it. "I'm afraid no good will come of it."

He thinks to himself, as he steps in to defend Terrific, "Why oh why am I here here?"

"Good question." leers Sabbac, his eyes now on Zard.
Of all the indignities there are, you ended up being Fate's bitch.
Doesn't that piss you off? Doesn't that make you want to teach Fate a lesson?"

It took the Wizard Shazam to lock away the Seven Deadly Sins. Zard might be able to hold Sloth at bay, but now WRATH is in his veins.

Zard is not a strong man, and the wrath seething through his veins overwhelms him. A mystic bolt blasts from his outstretched palms, but it misses the mark entirely ...

... because Mr. Terrific, suddenly finding his will again, pushes Zard's arms to the side, sending the bolt into a mass of demons.

"Goddammit!" Sabbac swears.
Mordru gave the Russian mobster turned demon a raft of shit after the last battle and showed him how to harness the power of the Sins, but Ishmael is still new to the concept and it's use. Zard and Terrific's tag team defiance is frustrating, so he 'goes back to basics'.
Leaping with superhuman strength rivaling Powergirl, Sabbac lunges toward Michael as the fist comes swinging in a back-fist.

Terrifc rolls to duck the blow, falling out of Sabbac's armspan. As he rolls, two of his T-spheres position themselves on either side of the demon's head, and begin to emit a sharp sonic blast: The artificial equivalent of the Canary's cry.

Sabbac staggers under the piercing assault. Clapping his claws to his ears, he falls to one knee as his looks back to Terrific with murder in his eyes.

The Wizard staggers away from Sabbac, and prepares a banishing spell. If this is the new Sabbac, he should inquire what happened to his predecessor. He'd been a useful guy to work with...

As fast as a snake, Mordru's makes a quick gesture and the rock to which Billy Batson is bound swiftly moves to intercept Fate's assault, as the Dark Lord steps back. Despite himself through the gag, Billy cries out in anguish as the mystic Ankhs slam into him.

Smiling mercilessly with the light of madness in his eyes Mordru calls out tauntingly, "Careful pretend-Fate, you might hurt the children!"

A swarm of morphing half realized shapes spews from his mouth. From the hellish deluge, monstrous forms begin to emerge and enlarge. Chaos demons of all sorts have been summoned into the fray.

Ibn drops his silver bowl and draws his sword, engaging as many demons as he can.

Several take up the challenge. Some, with whip-like barbed appendages lash out at the Son of the Bat. Another larger demon with four arms brandishes a flaming scimitar and bears down on Ibn with heavy sweeping blows.

Ibn dodges their blows, trying to keep as many busy as possible. For the first time in a long time, he's fighting somethign familar. Demons. These are just the shock troops, though. He tries to cut and slash his way to the Dark Lord.
