The Flash is asleep next to his girlfriend, who's been staying with him for months now, and she's technically 'looking for a new place' so it hasn't dawned on either of them that they're essentially living together.

He's face down, buried in the pillow, arm draped over Jesse.

Not yet noticing the vines snaking up his legs.

This is new.

The vines start growing, becoming monsterously huge.

"I see shame. Dee..Dee..Dee. Why are the vines coming between you and this woman?"

"Rrmmmfpf," he mumbles, sleepily.

"No vines." They start to wrap around his waist. "No Ivy. Loved Ivy."

The girl next to him isn't Jesse anymore. The leafy green covers her body... and her hair is black.

This is very interesting. Dee claps his hands like a child.

"Ivy seems to love you, but that's not Ivy. Who has black hair? Dee..Dee..Dee. Who is she?"

"Don't remember."

She turns, and she's got no face. Only a mouth that's bleeding.

"Don't remember. Can't remember. Why is she bleeding? Should help. Ivy, let me help."

Vines are cinching his arms behind his back.

"You already failed her, Flash! Who is she?"

Dee peers deeply into the dream to see this woman. A skeletal arm reaches her facelss mask and rips it off.

The face is revealed, although the rip shows a small swath of skull on her face.

"It's my wife..." he blurts.

"You abandoned us," she cries, softly.

Flash struggles against the vines that are pulling him away from her. "No, I didn't, I wouldn't - "

"You got them killed and ran away from us! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN."

"I can't... I didn't - I CAN'T GET FREE. I'm sorry, I never wanted - "

He struggles with the Speed Force, to no avail. The vines continue to wrap around him, covering his mouth... only letting him see with his eyes as she starts to wither, grotesquely.

Doctor Dee almost is touched. He moves closes to the Flash and whispers in his real voice. "Dee...Dee...Dee...wonder what will happen when she dies next."

Lightning crackles around them as his eyes widen in fear and angry desperation.

He buzzes violently against the vines wrapping him up. Dimly recognizing the voice that's talking to him, but unable to put a name to it.

Too much. Too much. Too much.
