The Man of Steel can't fly as fast as he normally would, but it's certainly enough to get airborne. As he flew, he briefed Catwoman.

"The woman you faced, if I'm correct, is named Lashina. She's from Apokolips. Before I go on, are you familiar with what Apokolips is?" He wasn't sure just how much awareness she had of off-earth issues.

"Another time."

Lashina's conscious, and she fires the whip right around Bernadeth's waist, and yanks back. "Converge".

Harriet, still somehow conscious from that shot from Superman, blinds him with another set of energy bursts...meant more for distraction than anything else.

Stompa, already nearby Lashina, moves in.

"Well. That was fun."

Catwoman stands up and does her best to look as though she's not hurting. Like she isn't going to want a long bath, a massage and then to sleep for a few days.

Superman surveys the scene. No good could have come from this little escapade.

Except perhaps a newfound respect for his impromptu partner.

"Do you need medical attention?"

Catwoman shakes her head, "I don't think so. The only thing they could do would be to give me painkillers." She smiles up at him, "I'm just going to be really sore and bruised."

"In other words, another day at the office." Superman said.

He looks up. "The shaking is going to draw attention from the authorities. I'll deal with them in due course, but we should probably leave the area. Where can I drop you off?"

"Pretty much." Catwoman looks toward him for a few moments and then chuckles, "Well, my bike is back toward the museum..."

Superman nods, and they are airborne.

As he approaches, he notes the area is still swarming with Metropolis' finest. "Hmmm." He looks at Catwoman. "Would you rather wait it out until they disperse a bit, or should I try to explain you to the police?" A pause. "They know you even in Metropolis, you know."

"It's your town. I'll follow your lead on this one." Catwoman gives him a smile, one of the more genuine ones.

"Well. Metropolis isn't that far from Gotham."

"No, no it isn't." Superman paused. "So they PAY you to break into places now?"

"You'd be amazed at how many people want to prove that their musuem, store, vault, home... is safe from break in." Catwoman is still getting used to this whole flying thing. She's not sure she'll ever get used to it.

"I have yet to find anywhere that's truly burglar proof. There /are/ some places that aren't worth the trouble, though."

Superman nods. "It's actually a rare gift. Given your experiences in that area over the years - to be able to look at it through a previously criminal mind."

He grins. "At least that's what I'm assuming. Either that or you've gotten a lot better at eluding Batman."

There is a soft chuckle at that. "Eluding. No. I've never been able to find a place he couldn't find me if he wanted." Catwoman looks up at Superman, pausing for a moment just to actually look at him.

"It's a hard thing to give up."

Catwoman remains silent for awhile after that, chewing his words slowly, thinking. "We've worked together before..." She leaves that there, though. It was a strange time period but she's tried to give this up before.

"The hardest part is the uncertainty. You know that? Before if I needed the money for something, anything, I could just take it. There are so many more things to worry about when you're trying to do the right thing - especially because sometimes there /is/ no right thing."

He knows all that, though. He'd have to. Looking at him she smiles softly, before reaching up to curl that spit-curl with a finger, "Approve which part?"
