Gar talked a lot about his friends. Raven was one he had trouble finding words for. Come to think about it...
"I've seen her," she points to Bette. "Around the Tower, but her name's escaping me right now." She points to Mia. "Saw her at the Olympics, too."
She cocks her head to check out Jesse Quick. "She...she's Jesse. She did the foot race and was in the bed next to mine when we came home from the Olympics."
She walks down to Donna, kneels, and touches Donna's face. "And she's Donna. She's the one who called me out to the Olympics in the first place." She smiles wanly. "Not sure if I can ever thank her properly. It...changed my life."
She swallows hard. "Um...how much do you remember about someone named Terra...Tara Markov. I've been stuck in her head for the past couple days. Like some nightmare I couldn't wake up from."
Aurora can hardly tear her eyes from Raven. She's beautiful, but in the opposite fashion Kory is. Kory's the sunrise, the fire, the bronze statue. Raven is like looking at a clear, moonlit night with all the winter stars out.
"Wow. Ronnie Eagle would give his left leg just to sculpt your or Kory," she says, trying to relax a bit. She's already trying hard not to shake.
"Well, I found out she really didn't like the Grateful Dead, or 'John Jacob Jinglehimer Schmidt' for that matter. I think I pissed her off." She swallows hard. "But folks at the Tower were treating her like..." Aurora cuts off. "And Gar was acting like she was..."
Jealousy, Aurora. That's a shortcut to anger, which is goes to hatred, which fuels violence.
"Well, I was dating Gar up until this. Then, Tara come in and he's like...Sorry. I'm making zero sense."
"Like me? I'm...I'm not really a Titan. Sure, I'm in love with Garfield, and exchange gardening tips with Kory. I'll help out whenever I can. They're wonderful folk, Raven. Between them, Ash, and Ms. Lance, I have a life again."
She sighs again. "A life I'm pretty bad at, but still a life."
She thinks a bit more. "Hey, was something stolen from you, too?"
"Not heard of her. Sorry. But, if there's a way to get back...Terra plans such awful things. And I'm guessing the person you were with wasn't very nice company, either. So, if there's a half-dozen people in serious need of an intervention, and targeting the Titans..." Another sigh. "If you have ideas, go for it."
"I'm kinda scared about Terra doing serious damage, but I don't see a way out. So..." Aurora chuckles. "I wasn't dead last in my age group for learning meditation, but I was hardly the best, either."
It doesn't take an empath of Raven's caliber to feel the homesickness coming from Aurora. She sits directly across from Raven, echoing the other woman's position.
Like she would on the Commune, she recites the words carved above the hearth in the Town Hall.
"To hurt another is to hurt one's self." "To help another is to help yourself." "And an injury to one is injury to all."
"Or good morning. As you choose."

Aurora stops herself and sucks in a breath. Or is it an illusion of one? Is this strange lady even friendly?
Time to find out.
"My name's Aurora, ma'am."

She's not cold, just cool, and not unpleasantly so.
"Raven. You could say that it's time for the sleepers to awake."

It's a Raven-joke.
Fear.
"I know Terra. She was stuck in your head more than you in hers."
