La Cage Aux Folles

The island's many surprises aren't exhausted yet.

Somewhere inside the labyrinthine complex, a new system springs to life. Switches suddenly become live beneath the island's infrastructure. And a new readout begins its ominous, silent countdown in neon blue digits ...

SELF DESTRUCT ACTIVATED. DETONATION IN 20:00 ... 19:59 ... 19:58 ...

"Oracle to strike team--you've got a new deadline. Someone pushed a big red button."

"DAMMIT!"

Okay, composure lost. Terrific is gone.

"Do you have a LOCK on Dinah yet?"

"It would be more accurate to say I can keep track of where she is going. Stand by--I'll send the data to your goggles display."

"She's mobile. Great. I guess this makes me the point man."

He turns and tries to marshal everyone to him, assuming the dazed bad guys have their own ways out. Then, it's off into the corridor, checking Hooty's location as well.

"Can you disable the self-destruct?"

Light had moved away from the unconscious Jay Garrick into the central command area. He noted that Sivana had tripped the self-destruct countdown and was already probably gone from the island. The hired thugs and technicians were also heading into the lifepods and floating away.

Which left the heroes, whoever of the Monster Society was still conscious...and him.

There was maybe fourteen minutes or so left before he himself had to leave, and he thought it would be a perfect shame to have to go...without greeting some old friends.

Melodramatic? Yes, but Light was always a sucker for melodramatics. Besides...this time he was practiced, focused, and ready. Especially for Queen, Jordan and his ilk.

Green Arrow and Dr. Mid-Nite turn the corner into the command area, with Huntress right behind. Ollie's face is contorted in rage.

Light.

I'm going to take everything you've done out of your hide.

Green Arrow has never, in his life, seen Light look more sinister. Nor more determined.

"You've already taken my mind, Queen. That's quite enough. Or, as my friend Gizmo may say...don't sing it, bring it."

Dr. Mid-Nite doesn't bother with words. He just grits his teeth and sneers.

Instead, a blackout bomb is immediately thrown his way, which should explode into a thick, black clingy smoke to block out all the light.

Hopefully, that DOES something to the bastard.

Ralph has given Oracle what information he could, and apparently it was enough. Now that he has the information back from her, the ductile detective has one goal - find Jean and Dr. Light.
Using his predications, shuffling through the equations rapidly, he makes his way towards where he thinks they'd be holed up.
Sure, he'll likely be too late, but then the more of them that get there, the better their odds, neither villain is a lightweight, and who knows who else might be there?
