Espionage is something J'onn is uniquely suited for. Invisibility. The ability to shapeshift. Mindreading. Being able to appear as anyone...or to simply not appear at all

Invisibility or not, some people have the ability to sense when another sentient mind is in close proximity, and the Looker is one of these people.
One of Batman's Outsiders, and also a potent telepath in her own right, she perches on the edge of a roof staring at the martian who so many cannot even perceive.
"Anti-life justifies my hate." Reaching out with her mind, she attempts to negate J'onn's invisibility through scrambling his thoughts.
Well...the objective was reached, and J'onn does indeed become visible.
However, Looker will find that scrambling alien thoughts is harder than one thinks, especially if the edge she would normally carry when unencumbered by the effects of Anti-Life is now missing.
J'onn locates where Looker is and, mind still fighting the effects of her attack, unleashes a blast of Martian Vision, targeting the ledge just below where she stands. Perhaps a freefall will suitably distract her...
The edge of the roof bursts with energy as the Martian Vision hits, and Looker is blown into the air. Using her ability of telekinesis she is able to slow her descent, and lands softly some distance from J'onn.
Her concentration broken, she scowls at the martian and hisses as her fangs descend. "Darkseid thirsts for your blood." Leaping with superhuman agility and strength, she hurls herself towards J'onn.
When she connects with John, it will feel like she landed in a vat of taffy. The malleable Martian envelops himself around Looker, not really fearing the fangs due to his level of resistance to physical attack. You are stronger than this, Lia. Fight it. J'onn speaks directly to her mind, trying to bring her rage to calmness mentally as he also tries to cut off her air supply.
Looker's necessity for breath was long ago overcome, and she relentlessly tries to attack the martian despite his increasing mental dominance over her subconscious. Something clings to her mind like a parasite, feeding her rage and hatred, something that becomes clear to the Manhunter when he tries to telepathically communicate.
All that is in the mind of Lia is the bitter face of Darkseid, eyes now Boring's into J'onn's.
It is difficult for J'onn to maintain his focus when faced with Darkseid...but not impossible. J'onn continues to attempt to restrain Looker while at the same time, with the precision borne from decades of use, using his telepathic abilities to sever the ties Darkseid has on Looker.
He knows he can't free a city this way, but if he regains one ally...
The sheer mental power of the Martian Manhunter is overwhelming even for the power of the anti-life equation, and as his psionic force pries into Lia's mind the domination of Darkseid is suddenly snapped off and disintegrates into the ether.
With a drained moan, the Looker collapses to the ground. "I feel lobotomised."
Lia lifts her head and looks around the darkened streets, before turning her eyes back to the martian. "I can remember all of it, J'onn. The things Darkseid made me do..."
She starts clawing at her face. "Oh my... I've seen into his mind, J'onn. When his mind locked with mine I saw what he intends to do. He has a gate beneath Gotham and it's going to grow wider and wider until Apokolips becomes part of Earth."
A scarlet and gold blur dashes past once, and then again, as the Flash skids to a halt beside J'onn and the Looker. "J'onn! Have you seen Bart? He's not answering his comms. I think's there's some jamming frequency coming from somewhere in the city, but I can't find where."
Barry's holding an unconscious Huntress in his arms. "Oh, and this lady is apparently one of Gotham's protectors. She tried to seduce me, you know? Did the whole unzipping the costume thing..." He lowers her to the ground. "Like I'd fall for that one. Darkseid's in her head. Do you think you could clear his influence out of her mind?"
