The key to guerrilla warfare was mobility, a small unit size, tactical target selection and of course intelligence.

The array of tactical backgrounds (given that half of them were trained assassins) in the unit offered considerable wisdom in selecting the right targets. Superboy's enhanced senses and aerial recon provided information that further informed their tactics.
