GCPD downtown - The Roof

The GCPD building downtown was built like a bunker. It wasn't pretty in any sense of the word, but it was solid and more importantly, very defensible. Years of weathering Gotham's particular breed of nightlife had proven a veritable crucible to shake out the building's vulnerabilities and the end product had proven to be an unforeseen godsend in

Robin's signal draws a response, a distinctly Beetle-shaped echo of the Bat-Signal, visible from the outskirts of Bludhaven.

First good news all day.
Robin cracks a smile and goes back to refitting his belt equipment. Their journey to the GCPD building allowed him to stop my one of the secreted caches strategically placed throughout the city over the years by Batman and his various allies. Tim had made sure to pick up the heavier arsenal. He had a feeling they'd need it.

Cicada calls from his lookout position.

"The voices are getting louder! We may have to fight soon. I don't see anything yet though."

Nodding to Cicada, Robin snaps the belt back into place and shakes the kinks and soreness out of his body.

"Ok! Get ready everyone. Don't get to far apart unless you have to. They may try to divide and conquer."

The fighting staff comes out as Tim gets his game face on.

Shiva gains her feet quickly and does her best to limber up. Ah, this should be interesting.

There's a deafening *boom* followed by a rumbling, and incredibly loud cracking noise, as the foundations of the GCPD building begin to give way.

"HAAHAAHAAHAAHAA!!!" Stompa stands down the road from the building, pointing up at the signal in the sky. "They are up there, my fellow Furies! Those who would resist the rule of Darkseid!"

"I want the first stab at these rebels!" Gilotina somersaults past Stompa, practically running up the side of the GCPD building, the middle of which is beginning to sink into the ground. She leaps on the edge of the roof.

"Ooo. Lots of people to cut and slice." Gilotina somersaults again, this time towards Lady Shiva as she becomes a whirlwind of blades.

"Damn it, Gilotina! You will attack when ordered!" The field commander of the Furies shrieks at her comrade, and then begins twirling a whip that seems to extend in length, before lashing it onto an outcrop of brick near the top of the GCPD building, scaling the side of it with inordinate speed.

"Mmm." She flips onto the roof, and licks her lips at the sight of the survivors. "Fresh meat." She cracks one of her whips towards Robin, the end crackling with electricity.

He's got more than enough lead time before she's on him.
Robin wasn't fooling around earlier when he got this place ready to repel opposition.

The moment she clears the ledge to land on the roof, Robin has thrown a prepared Batarang at her before her whip is cast. This one is the exploding kind Batman sometimes uses against tougher opponents.

"Get out of my town."

Falling from the sky and catching the exploding Batarang in her teeth before quickly spitting it away from Lashina, Mad Harriet giggles as the heat of the explosion warms her skin. Her giggle turns into the laugh of a raving maniac as she suddenly charges Richard Dragon, bounding towards him on all fours.

Bane rushes toward the yellow-skinned creature.

"The boy said to 'get out'."

Bane launches a right cross toward Mad Harriet's face.

The blow connects with Mad Harriet's face, and aside from being rocked back on her feet she doesn't seem to exhibit much pain. In fact she continues to laugh, and her eyes connect with someone behind Bane as she grins.

"Ah, a big man! You'll make a fine bride for me, if Granny approves!" Stompa has launched herself onto the roof using the jets in her boots, and throws a powerful kick at the back of Bane's head.

While temporarily chagrined at lack of affect his punch had on the yellow woman, he reacted quickly to the attack of the much larger female's kick.

"You'll have to forgive me senorita, but I'm not inclined to settle down." Her form was good, she was obviously trained, but for someone who fought toe-to-toe with Wayne, not a problem dodging. Of course he knew she was probably much stronger than him.

He briefly considered using the vial of Venom he kept as a reminder of what he had once been, but was not that desperate, yet.

"Besides, we hardly know one another." While not at meta-level strength anymore, Bane was still at the peak of human power. He prepared to deliver a kick of his own, this one aimed at the back of the woman's knee, hoping to take her off her feet.

While Bane focuses on Stompa, Richard Dragon chooses this moment to launch himself into the fray - leaping in with a vicious elbow strike for Mad Harriet.

Mad Harriet continues to cackle as several of her teeth are knocked free. She follows up Dragon's blow by hurling herself at him, intent on wrapping her limbs around him.
