The sound of the TV echoes before shutting off, the sudden cessation of noise attracting Kory's attention.

She peeks around the doorway, spotting him on the couch. "Gar? May I join you?"

"Sure!" Beast Boy's smiling, his hands empty and his left foot buried in the couch. His right foot is holding the remote, ape-style. "I mean, I just can't find anything to watch, five thousand channels and nothing on, but you know...just promise you won't tell the other girls I gave up the remote, the y-chroma zone set'd never forgive me."

No, Gar's not uncomfortable at all. He tosses the remote to Starfire, rubbing the back of his head and looking at the floor.

She looks from the remote to the blank TV screen, and then back to Gar.

"I do not think that any of the other girls would be upset that you gave me the remote, but I will not tell any of them, just in case." A nod, with a Serious Expression, and Kory moves to sit down on the couch next to him.

A click of the remote and the picture flickers back to life.

"...I'll go get some popcorn. Want a drink?" Beast Boy says too quickly, hopping up to his feet and back onto the floor in a single graceful motion. He can't become pale per say but Beast Boy is a mild, mintish color that is about as close as the metahuman can get.

"Garfield."

The remote gets set aside as Kory reaches out to him.

"What is going on? Something isn't right, you don't look well..."

Beast Boy flinches, curling up on himself a little. He doesn't mean to, but, well, instinct. He plays it off with a weak chuckle, rubbing the back of his head. "...just, uh, nothin, really, Star, just...having a bad week with the powers. You know I don't like ta'grouse..." Since Raven and Cyborg have THEIR massive power issues and whatnot.

"I know that, but you are free to grouse at me whenever you need to." The flinching, that doesn't set well with her, that he might be afraid.

[beastlyboy]

"...just thirsty!" Beast Boy shifts into a coyote, spinning around once and playing dead. He shifts back to human, then, chuckling and moving to the kitchen to procure carbonated refreshment.

"... Puzzling response." Kory shifts around to get more comfortable and idly clicks through a few more screens while waiting for Gar to return.

She's patient, confident that she can wear him down.
