The scowl that strikes Black Adam's regal features like a thunderbolt at seeing that serpentine, smug snake on display sends those advisers scurrying away. Adam has no love for Vandal Savage. Thousands of years ago, Savage allied with Akh-ton, the despot who killed his family. He has not forgotten.
And now Savage is parading himself before the world again, preening like a peacock on display. With a nation of his own under his belt, and no doubt some insidious motive behind it.
Black Adam doesn't care what Savage is planning, as long as it does not interfere with Kahndaq. The only reason why Adam has allowed the immortal to go unchecked is because, for all his power, he knows the threat Savage presents to Kahndaq is very real. An unspoken accord exists between the two immortals, one that has served them well for a very long time. Personal contempt aside, as long as the agreement between them remains, Black Adam will not interfere with this 'New Albion.'
