Special Delivery

The bell hanging over the door at Sherwood Florists II jangles as the door opens and Diana steps in, dressed in a slightly more formal version of her usual costume.

She smiles at a customer, who returns it with an open mouth stare, and continues towards the back of the store to find Dinah.

"Diana!" The proprieter finishes ringing up a sale, then motions for a college-aged clerk to take over. "How've you been?" she asks as she comes around the counter.

"I have been quite well, thank you for asking." Dinah gets pulled into a warm embrace.

"Is there a more private spot that we can talk? There is something I need to discuss with you."

"Lot of that going around lately," says Dinah cryptically. "C'mon--my office. Don't laugh at the flamingo mug. Or go ahead and laugh at it. Long as it doesn't get broken, because it is the perfect size for my morning dose of caffeine."

She leads Diana into a cramped but reasonably tidy office. On her desk is the promised flamingo mug, in an eye-blindingly bright shade of pink.

Diana picks up the mug and turns it over in her hands.

"It certainly is a bracing shade of pink."

She takes a seat on one side of the desk, waiting for Dinah to seat herself, and then takes a slender envelope out of a hidden pocket in her skirt and hands it over.

Dinah's name is inscribed on the outside.

"This is for you. Dinah Lance, I would like to formally invite you to take your place in the Justice League."
