It was the first time Ivy had been out in days. She needed air and sun and the noise of the city. Being alone with her thoughts was taking its toll, the question of what to do about Hush was weighing too heavily on her mind. Ivy had slipped into some conservative clothing and a trench coat, covering her gorgeous jade complexion with some expensive makeup and walked into the city.

Crane had been convinced when she told him what had happened. He was on the trail of the Black Mask to no avail. Ivy hated herself for letting her guard down, for a man no less. If she had known Hush was there, if she hadn't been distracted, she would have destroyed that bastard. Bound him in vines, cut him with thorns, injected poison and then turned his body into plant food. She wouldn't even give him the satisfaction of a final kiss.

Too distracted to even glare at the vile technology Wayne Enterprises kept producing, she found herself drawn to a little girl selling flowers on the corner. It was an unusual sight, the scruffy little thing with blonde hair falling out of her baseball cap. Dirty clothes and cardboard box full of fresh cut flowers. Ivy walked up to her, full of maternal concern for a child she'd never be able to produce.

Her gloved hand reached for a single red rose and she sniffed it delicately, handing the girl a wad of bills in the process. She had no use for money; despite that fact Harley kept bringing bags of it home.

Tracing her fingers over the thorns of the rose, Ivy decided. She would go after Hush herself. He would pay.
