The City by the Bay is no better off than New York or Philadelphia. Brainiac's plan with this city isn't quite so clean-cut as the prior two... Metallo and his army of replicants appear in San Francisco split into two groups, one on the Golden Gate Bridge, and the other on the shore of Alcatraz

"Hahahaha!" One of the replicants on the bridge laughs hysterically as Metallo throws cables toward the city. The Huntress replicant rips a door off of a car and proceeds to start strangling the occupant.

Another Flamebird replicant has been sneaking towards Ollie, and silently, she raises a sharpened piece of metal above his head as he lets loose at the Mid-Nite replicant.

And suddenly said pice of metal is pulled backwards by electromagnetic force, courtesy of a hovering Static.

The Flamebird replicant whirls around, snarling like some kind of rabid beast. "Die. You must DIE!" She leaps up, using the real Flamebird's acrobatic skill to attempt a flying punch on Static.

And instead slams straight into an electromagnetic shield.

"Yeeah, that's not on my to-do list."

"Rrraaarrggh!" The Flamebird replicant unleashes its designated weapons - white phosphorus grenades. Usually pretty heavy, but for a replicant...? "Burn!" Two burning grenades made of clay are thrown straight at Static.

That would be enough to make most people pause, but Virgil spent a good portion of his early career fighting a guy with incendiary powers.

"Also not on my to-do list," he says, flying out of the smoke with a charged up taser punch.

The grenades explode in the air, showering the area with hot phosphor. Luckily no civilians are about, otherwise they'd be having a very bad night.

"No!" The punch connects with the replicant's face and drives it backwards. The back of its head smacks hard on the pavement, but it leaps to its feet in short order. It begins crackling with electrical energy.

And there's another electrically charged punch to the gut.

With each attack the replicant appears to be getting more and more aggressive, more and more agitated. Like a wild dog being teased. And now it's roaring like a wild dog. It leaps up again, trying to grab Static Shock's feet.
