He wakes up, sort of, to the sounds he always hears. The screams, the promises that 'he don't mean it, he's just drunk' are quickly drowned out by the sounds from below. The sounds of the ghettoes. Traffic, people, shouts

"Nah, I fucked up. You guys're taking good care of her?"
He shivers, trying to remember the last time he really felt cold. A hand comes up, fingering one of the bullet holes. Or maybe its where one of the spikes hit.
"I'd have to come kick your asses if you weren't."
"Right now, kid, you don't look like you could kick anyone's ass," he smirks. "And let's just say we both fucked up, huh? For my part... I've been sober since we last met."
"Holy shit," Trevor spits as he clears the top of the building on his platform. Even as he steps onto the rooftop he's pulling his pack off and getting out the first aid kit, "What did you get in a fight with, man? Godzilla?!"
Even as he talks he's ripping bandages open and pulling out the antiseptic.
The grin remains. "You're prob'ly right." Starting to slur some. At least he's aware of it. "You're good at that. And good for you... proud of you. Most people... don't have the will to quit."
He turns a little to better hear Trevor. "I didn't." he finishes responding to Chimp, before replying in Trevor's direction.
"Ring has a long, long list. Names that matter f'r the wounds... Royal Flush Gang... Lobo... some joker saying he was from... Sinestro Corps. Should tell Hal... they're unionizing."
The mention of cold is something Trevor can handle, leaving that little bit of ring energy for injury healing. Physical contact helps as he puts a hand on Travis's chest and lets the heat seep in.
The shivering stops. The hand to his chest can feel the broken ribs, and when Travis shifts, there's definitely something not moving the way it should. The hand likewise quickly gets covered in blood. There's a few sparks of energy from the ring, but not much else changes.
"Better. Tell Caleb I'm sorry. And 'specially Tara. She deserved better."
The Chimp climbs up over the edge of the roof, then looks back over his shoulder. "Up here!" he calls. He turns back to Travis, moving over to him.
"You've seen better days, kid."

"No I haven't. Today is a lot better than the last time I saw anything."
He shifts up a little, wincing as his insides shift. That's not supposed to happen.
"Hey Chimp."

"Hour an' forty-seven minutes this mornin'. Then Mid-Nite's... sedated for a while. Was't enough though... I'm... I'm hurt real bad. S'ok though."

"You might want to give it a month or so instead," Trevor tells him around the bandage clips he's holding in his lips.
"You might also want to say hi to a ER physician or two, rather than just a guy who took First Aid ten years ago."

There's a lot of holes. Neither Lobo nor Amon Sur is a lightweight. Both are very accurate.
"Don't think I have a month. Would go crazy staying still that long."
He runs his right hand over the ring. "Just very cold... and very tired. Too much to do. Can't do it anymore."

He doesn't seem to perceive the hand. His eyes are blank white, none of the usual green light.
"Something's broken inside. Lots of things... ring says its working on it. That's a lot of blood though. Glad she has help."
