International espionage... not Kathy's usual problem to deal with, to be honest. She could call the other Morrigan -- Roxy and Hawkgirl -- but this seems to need a degree of subtlety that, unfortunately, the other two don't manage well.

"Patrol grid three, clear," she subvocalized into her throat mic. "Moving on to grid four."

Robin had patiently taught her the grid layout, working through Cassandra's natural reticence due to her inability to grasp the written word very well. She fired her grapnel gun, the hook catching a flagpole jutting from the Jardine Building. She flicked her wrist, drawing the line tight, and jumped.

There's someone waiting on the rooftop as she comes in for a landing.

She lands lightly, in a crouch, hand back beneath her cloak, fingertips closed on a 'rang in her belt. Her head cocks to one side, curious. She doesn't know this person.

She steps forward. Her stance is friendly, but Cassandra's training can see a skilled fighter in her stance.

Cassandra notes her empty hands, signifying a non-threat, and lets her fingers slip off the 'rang. Her eyes sweep up to the shoulders of this new person, notes the set of them, notes the tenseness in the muscles.

Whoever she is, she knows how to fight. Balanced on the balls of her feet for quick, easy movement. Hm.

Cassandra rises, showing empty, open palms.

"I've been looking for you," she says simply. "Some trouble has come to Gotham."

"Stormcrow," she replies. "I've been working with Hawkgirl down in St. Roch; before that, I was here in Gotham as Batwoman. Your boss have mentioned me."

"What's the trouble?" Batgirl's stance relaxes further, fingertips moving to touch the end of her grapnel gun, in case they need to move fast.

"An old friend of Gotham has returned home... and trouble seems to be pursuing her." She explains the encounter she'd had with Julie the previous night.

"Something's in the evidence locker down there, whether she's telling the truth or not. And if she's telling the truth... we need to keep it safe."

"Before I do this...I have to know it's right," she explained. She taps her throat mic, opening a line to Oracle. "How do I know I can trust you, Stormcrow?"

"You don't, not really. Your boss certainly doesn't. But Hawkgirl does. You can check with her."

"I can't just call Hawkgirl," she replies, a little testy, "We don't all know each other's numbers."

"Really," she says, meeting the tone. "I'd think your boss has everyone's shower wiretapped, he'd at least have the number for the police department in St. Roch. They can verify."

"If you're tricking me," she said, "I'll hurt you."

Cassandra pulled her grapnel gun from her belt. "Let's go."
