The wind blows and the landscape changes. Nightstar find herself on a shore of black sand. The 'water' lapping up to the obsidian sand is like a liquid form of a clear star filled night sky. Overhead the sky is also dark and the faces of dreamers fade in and out of that vista.

At the water's edge, stand the Lord Shaper Daniel of Dream.

Lucien's library contains a number of variations upon that tale. You may find one of them more to your liking.

A quest you share in common with most living beings...

His white hands move artfully in the air as dream sand is released and streams of music take shape as a tiny but fancifully detailed pirate ship manned by a crew of mice and plastic soldiers at the water's edge. It immediately raises anchor and sails off into the sea of stars, vanishing from sight almost immediately.

She laughs and applauds, tickled at the sight. "That's icy, my lord! Are you in a good mood, or is this some kind of clue to what I'm trying to find?"
