Travis phases through the wall of their apartment. Living with a Green Lantern isn't allowed to be normal.
Sometimes he's gone for a few days at a time, just up and disappearing, coming back dirty and exhausted, but a little more content. Today, its just a grocery run though, several bags in tow behind him, along with a dozen roses.

"Anyone home?"

"No. G'way."

Bette calls out from the bedroom, having had a very long night... morning... however long period of time and she's just finished getting some sort of sleep but probably not enough.

All of the groceries put themselves away. He's gotten the hang of this by now, and actually remembers where everything goes.
The roses, on the other hand, float into the bedroom before him. "Good morn... err, good afternoon Sunshine." he replies as he wanders in after the floating boquet. "Sleep well?"

"Mmmmnnnrff."

The first noise that comes from the room is not a pleasant one. Apparently she's still waking up. Then she sees the roses. "Oh.. That's... Thank you." She looks very rumpled, still pushing herself up off the bed as he comes into the room.

He brings the roses over to her, trying to picture a vase in his mind, 'feeling' out the shape. He still has trouble creating visual representations of objects after all this time, but its passable. A green light vase shapes around the stems, leaving them hovering in front of her, as he sits down on the bed next to her, reaching over to ruffle her hair gently.
"Anything for my favorite girl. You must have had a long night to still be in bed. Mind if I join you?"

Bette smiles at him, reaching out an arm toward him, "Not at all."

He takes the offered hand with a smile, then phases long enough for most of his 'work clothes' to drop in a heap on the floor, so he can crawl under the covers as well. He moves the vase and flowers onto the nightstand on her side of the bed. "Sorry I wasn't around last night. Hopefully you managed to keep yourself occupied?"

Bette slides an arm around him and puts her head on his shoulder, "It was a long night. Hell. It has been a long week. I'm still recovering from it all, I think."

He doesn't need to scan her anymore to find all the nerve endings and pressure points, he has them memorized. Within a moment, he has his arm around her, and she's getting a full body massage all at once, gentle pressure emanating from the ring to work at every pressure point at once. He may not be around all the time, but when he is, he tries to spoil her.
"You want to talk about it?"

"Oh."

That's nice. Bette starts to relax almost instantly. "Mmmmmmmmm." She kisses his collarbone, "Mostly the usual stuff. Long shift at the hospital, followed by long shift in costume.... Not much sleep."

He tilts his head a bit to give her better access to his neck, concentrating just the minimal amount he needs to to continue her massage, focusing more on her feet and legs now that he knws she was out in work clothes. "I know how that goes." He doesn't bother to check how long its been since he let himself actually sleep instead of substituting with the ring. "I have no idea how you keep up with both of those, but you do good work. Anything exciting happen on the costume shift?"

"Not especially so. Just a long slog through it all. Didn't get in until after the sun had come up." Right now he's warm and he's making her relaxed. Her eyes have drifted closed and she hasn't particularily noticed.

Likewise, she's warm and smells good, helping him relax a little in turn. He closes his eyes, still awake - not quite sure if he's run himself down enough to get some real sleep yet or not, but maybe close. "You have the day off? At least off at the hospital? Thought if you did, maybe I could take you to dinner or something? Maybe run patrol tonight together?"

"That sounds good for a day off."

Bette smiles sleepily, "I like dinner." Her fingers slide through his hair, playing with it some.

He leans up to kiss her, then settles back into bed next to her, finally shutting down the ring's compensation to see if his brain will let him get some real sleep, much more relaxed now than he's been in a while, at least.
"Yeah, me too. Of course, by the time we get up, it might be breakfast, but that's ok."

"Mmmmmm. If we're in bed that long, it won't be all sleeping." Bette chuckles softly, somewhat in the back of her throat.
