Robin would appreciate getting through the night's patrol with as little excitement as possible tonight; Alfred has prepared his usual birthday feast back at Wayne Manor and Tim is, as usual, hungry. Despite his Dad and Dana taking him out for a meal earlier that evening.
It had been a very pleasant meal; Tim is increasingly grateful that his Dad is no longer in the dark about his night-time activities, and Dana has been such fantastic support. As a result, these days he feels as close to his real family as he does to the mismatched group of crime-fighters who have also come to mean so much to him.
As he moves from rooftop to rooftop, he wonders who will manage to make it back to the Manor to celebrate with him. He's been so busy recently he feels like he hasn't seen the others for an age.
As often happens when patrols are quiet, a small part of his subconscious begins to ponder memories of previous birthdays, some not as good as this one.
