It's been a little over two days since the JSA was forced to return to the year 2007. A little more than two days since The Forgotten Heroes sacrificed themselves to restart time.
At least, he thinks that's what happened. It's all a little fuzzy at parts. All he knows is that they sent the JSA back, and then went barrelling into the end of the universe. Whatever that means.
Michael Holt places a plaque in the private wing of the JSA Museum. He can't risk unveiling what they've seen of the future to the general public, but Rip Hunter's last transmission -- "Remember Us" -- haunts him. And accompanying the transmission was a file ... The Forgotten Heroes's names.
He looks at the plaque ...
Not Forgotten ...
Rip Hunter, The Linear Men
Arion, Lord of Atlantis
Jonah Hex
Mar'i Grayson, Nightstar, Titans
Laurel Klein, Moon Maiden, JLA
Dawnstar, Legion of Superheroes
Matthew Tyler, Hourman, JSA, Justice Legion Alpha
... It's woefully insufficient. He's not a praying man, but he prays he has a chance to see them again.
He shakes it off. There's still work to do. Most of the reservists have gone off, but this one scarred a lot of the team -- Fate and Gemma, Power Girl, Wildcat, poor Maxine ... even Mid-Nite -- and they have injured to deal with, including Quark and Waverider, who appeared shortly after them, still comatose, but healing.
He turns out the lights and returns to his office. There's work to be done ...
mr. terrific,
