A signal breaks over the JSA's communication system -- Mr. Terrific is on the command ship ... and it's shields are down.

Firebrand hears the signal, and finally allows herself a sigh of relief.

"That's the signal, people! This is now a rescue mission!"

And with that, she burns bright, a burning star burning its way onto the alien ship.

She thinks her left shoulder is broken. The pain, the dead weight of her arm flopping uselessly against her side ... those are trivial things now. She can still fly. She can still fire. She can still fight.

And the signal has been given.

Kara pulls up next to them, heat vision flaring from her eyes. "Let's see if we can bust a hole into that thing," she says, surging forth, arms out in front of her.

How hard can getting into the ship possibly be?

Nightstar only nods, not trusting herself to speak even the simplest acknowledgment. Instead, her answer lies in the violet fire of a starbolt.

Hawkgirl is a foot away from where Nightstar's starbolts are hitting the ship, swinging her Nth metal mace with all her strength, denting the ship easily. They need to get in, now.

There's enough firepower being aimed at this thing to sink a whole fleet of battleship, thinks Firebrand. But this thing is tough, and between Terrific shutting down the systems, Power Girl making the big dent, and Fate holding the pieces together, they have their entryway.

"All right, JSA!" she shouts. "Let's comandeer this mother*&$#@r!!!"

She's not feeling very ladylike, right now.
