The Hyperion Hotel is very far removed from its heyday of the 1950's.   It's only months removed from the time period where Jasmine had led the world to a brief peace.  It has since sat abandoned.

Until now.

Eight Kriaphor sit around a drawn circle.  A young lady, no older than 12, lays, bound and unconscious, in the center of the circle.

Sorrow gestures, and Sand suddenly finds himself falling straight down from the top of the 2nd floor. "One and the same, Hawkins. Don't ask me how I got here, but apparently the Subtle Realms are accessible from multiple realities. I found myself here, and I found that apparently I'm the avatar of these beings bringing death and destruction to the EARTH." He solidifes enough to snapkick Sand across the jaw, then goes immaterial again. "King of Tears. Hey, second time's a charm, and this time my only resistance were a bunch of undead rejects and maybe some young nubile teenagers with some excess strength. Of course, can't KILL" He lands another kick "the undead, but hey, that's what minions are for right?

At this, Spike emerges from under the floor and nails Sorrow hard with a punch to the head. "Boo."

This is enough to send Sorrow flying down towards the ground...and THROUGH it, as he was still intangible.

"What the..."

He dives through after him. Two can play the spook game and he's been practicing.

"Not wha', mate. Who! An' you just got a small taste o' the Big Bad! Have another!"

He's leading with both fists, straight for Sorrow's "face".

Sorrow grabs both fists as they hit, and rises out of the floor...

...and suddenly Spike finds himself solidified. He lands on the ground hard.

"Well, I'll grant you the bad part." Sorrow says - and in an instant, Spike is gone.

Spike's eyes go wide. "Bloody hell..."

And a second later, he's in a five-story freefall to the street just outside the Hyperion.

"BOLLLOOOOOOOOOCCCKSSS"

Sand had waded his way into the group of demons casting the spell, disrupting the ceremony. The demons were tough but even in a weakened state Sand's strength and fighting skill were causing copious amounts of chaos.

But the tide was turning - he saw Wesley go down out of the corner of his eye, although Angel was taking names - he was as good a pure fighter as Wildcat, it looked like - and he saw his plan with Spike go down in flames.

Desperately, while Sorrow was apparently still tangible, Sand fired the wirepoon gun directly at Sorrow's back.

It passes straight through Sorrow. He stepped aside, grabbed the gun, and yanked, bringing Sand toward him.

"Limey spook didn't realize I can affect other beings' tangibility as well, at least HERE I can." Sorrow's hand passes through Sand and solidifies slightly, causing Sand to cry out. Sorrow shoves him off and throws him towards the wall.

"I've had enough of this. You've only slowed down the ceremony - once I dispose of you and your vampire friends, we'll be right back to it." A kick right up the bridge of Sand's nose draws blood. Sand's slumped up back against a wall.

Sorrow plants his foot on Sand's body and bends over. "Believe me, Hawkins - you'll NEVER forget this face."

Sorrow removes his mask.

Suddenly, it's Angel laying under Sorrow's boot.

"The Phantom of the Opera, you're not."

He grabs for the leg, and twists, hard,to bring Sorrow down to his level so he can get a better grip.

The sudden motion sends Sorrow's mask flying from his hand, and Sorrow lands on the ground.

"But...Sand..."

Sand was additionally where Angel was...with six Kriaphor dogpiling on top of him.

With a loud grunt and a heave, the more powerful Sand sent all six flying halfway across the room. As Sorrow's mask skitters in front of him, Sand makes a rolling motion, grabs it, and throws it hard right into the chest of one of the Kriaphor getting up on the other sides. It imbeds itself, and the Kriaphor falls. "Angel, he's yours. I got the Kriaphor."

And he dives in, attacking the Kriaphor with a combination of strength, agility and fighting prowess that would even impress a few former acquaintances of Angel's.

"That! Hurt!"

He showed back up looking a little worn, but a twitch to the collar of his leather trench coat and he's taking full advantage of being solid again, laying into the Kriaphor.

"What, a diabolical villain like you hasn't heard of the old bait and switch?"

Angel twists, grabbing hold of Sorrow and beginning to drag him towards the nearest reflective surface - not that there are many in the Hyperion, but at least he knows where the few are.

"You son of a..." Sorrow, without his mask anywhere near him, was corporeal, meaning he didn't have access to his other powers. And his death glare was useless against those already dead.

To boot, Angel's superior strength had Sorrow right where the good guys wanted him. "HAWKINS, YOU BASTARD, YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!"

"I'm afraid you'll have to direct all future communication for Mr. Hawkins to his legal representation - not that I'm really concerned with what you have to say, either."

Angel finally positions Sorrow in front of a polished metal surface, where he can reflect on his misdeeds.

Sorrow attempts to close his eyes - but the extra pressure Angel puts on the hammerlock forces them open.

He doesn't even have time to scream. His energy folds into himself, and within seconds, he's gone.
