Cassie approaches Conner a little shyly and grins up at him. They're surrounded by a gaggle of guys and girls, and she notes a few guys appreciatively checking out Cassie in her red Wonder Girl costume. She gives them a saucy grin before looking at Kon as if to ask him how they were going to play this meeting.
"My, um, Uncle Jon can make sure to get the truck looked at for you, Wonder Girl."
God, how does Clark manage this crap?
"If you want, we could go grab a soda or a cup of coffee or something." Connor jerked his head in the direction of the grocery store. "The deli's got a counter, and they make really great cherry pie."
She grins. Her first urge is to grab him and kiss him, but really, the last thing she needs is for someone for World's Finest to write her up as being some sort of teenage prostitot. So instead she pulls him closer to her and slows down a little. "So did you really want to grab a soda and pie or did you want to go somewhere a bit more...private?"
Cassie hears the *thump* and watches the ball fall on the ground. The ball doesn't break and Cassie gives Conner a knowing look, wondering if he lowered his defenses to not kill the ball. She turns around to see who threw the ball.
Cassie suppresses a grin. "That's sweet! And I'd love to. But I can't because I already promised this handsome man here," Cassie points to Conner, "that I'd spend the rest of the evening with him to thank him for helping us out."
"Of COURSE they were," he grumbled, "You're gorgeous, and you're with me. They're all about trying to take stuff away from people they think are weak."

He took her hand, smiling a nervous smile he didn't have to totally fake, and led the way past the football players.

A faint blush rises to her cheeks as she lets him lead the way, waving to her teammates as she does so.
"Think its working?" she asks when they're far away out of earshot for her to ask him.

It's not a threat. Not really. But sometimes she just can't help but tease an idiot male.

"I'm gonna cripple him," Connor muttered to himself, "They'll need a dentist to identify his body."
