It arrived without warning, and it struck without mercy. And for half a century, this rickety old church was both it’s conquest and it’s prison. At least it was until five and a half months ago when Caleb Zukov and John Constantine disturbed it. Even worse, they freed it. And what’s worse is that it knows who they are.
It’s that thought - or fear, rather - that has brought Caleb back to that church, where someone very different is now waiting for him. Someone Caleb hopes has information about whatever it was that they freed. It doesn’t appear as they remember it, though. Moss and weeds have begun to infest the structure, though mercifully the now actively decomposing corpses inside have been removed.
After waiting for a few minutes while Caleb weaved a number of anti-psychic wards around himself, Trevor, Brainwave, and Sand, he teleports them all into the chapel. Around them are
the vampire Caleb has been stalking, accompanied by two dozen fellow associates of the necromancer Ethalos.
Conspicuous by his absence is Ethalos himself.
Caleb’s eyes settle on the vampire who led him here. “Ethalos?”
