Vague Disciplinary Letter

I just got a letter from my RHA telling me that I have somehow violated the university policy regarded appliances. No real specific information, but I am encouraged to present a written statement. What the hell is going on?
Has anyone experienced this sort of thing? Advice? Am I in serious trouble, or is this just a very sternly worded warning?
