So this weekend was a pretty big failure. Had to work friday night as usual, I come home and my roomates had some huge fight with some of their friends so they were all depressed went to sleep. Saturday, just getting home at 3a.m. had to get up at 11:30 to get back to work so I could have some sort of a saturday night. A co-worker talks me into going out with him. By the time we leave it's about midnight, it's like 12:30 when we get to this bar, and home-boy forgets his wallet thusly his I.D. Go home, we have the internets hooked up. Spend next 8 hours making network run right, work everyone's computers, and firmly reattaching myself to the internet.
Sunday, going to see Clutch play, FUCK YES. Go out to Best Buy, pick up Terabyte external hard drive. For a goof, I buy Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies, and 28 Weeks Later, in honor of all the music and movies i'm about to steal. I also get a call, Bilal (co-worker) want to come to the concert; "Will I be out of place there?" he says. "Nah man you should be cool, all kinds of people come to concerts." (He's black.) I pick him up, he's in his best clubbing best dress. Shirt, shoes, pants, and hat; whole thing. I'm wearing blue jeans and a band T-shirt. This should be interesting, I think to myself. We pick up Bill, (another co-worker) Mid 50s, ex-hippy (actually met Hendrix), metal head. This is going to be really interesting.
I plug up the GPS, naturally I plugged in South Water street instead of "North" Water street... ugh. Get there finally, walk up into the line. Bilal is the only black guy.... and he looks like he's running late for a Jay-Z music video. I look at this rag-tag bunch, and I just laugh to myself. Wait in line for an hour only to get to the door to find it's sold out. I die a little on the inside.
We go to a bar, where I drink a shot of jack with every wierd ass beer they have that i've never had before. Franzikenser (I think that was the spelling, it was like a 2nd grader trying to spell Frankenstein.) was pretty good. Went to Bilals afterwards when it start to snow, heavily. Someone else comes over (another metal head) turns to me and tells me that "Clutch played a sold out show tonight." Bilal and I look at each other and just bust out laughing. I drove home in the snow in 4 wheel drive the whole way, trying not to die. Hook the harddrive up to my computer and set it to "Download Internet," go to sleep. I can't wait to take this vacation.
