Checking the schedule, it was an Early entrance day at DHS for those staying at Disney hotels ... so not much point in getting there before 9. Since DHS is also the shortest drive from our condo, we got to sleep in a little - yay! Once entering the park, I collected everyone's tickets and Big-B and I headed over to get fastpasses to Toy Story Mania. My parents took our backpack'o'picnic food and got a locker, and Tanner took off to ride the Rock'n'Roller Coaster. We reconvened at the Great Movie Ride. Since Big-B and I got there first we got to spend some time checking out all of the hand and footprints and signatures of famous folks on the sidewalk in front of the ride - well worth doing!
The Great Movie ride is a really nice look through the long history of movies, highlighting some classic films as well as popular genres. After enjoying this ride, we went over to the Studio Backlot Tour. These days, this just depresses me, because it's so clearly no longer an active studio. Sigh. Then, after walking all the way around the block because the map didn't indicate which side was the entrance, we went to the Muppet*Vision 3-D show. Big-B was slightly disappointed that this time, unlike 3 years ago, we weren't given magic fastpasses on our way out of the show. It was time for the first showing of the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. It was Epic! It was Stunted! It was Specatcular! Something like that, anyway.
For lunch, we went over to Pizza Planet. I must say that the pizza there was a huge improvement over the stuff that passed for pizza at SeaWorld. Thus refreshed, Tanner headed out to watch/ride Star Tours, which has apparently been redone and improved. Meanwhile, I took Big-B over to get a photo with Sully from Monsters, Inc., and then joined my parents who had gotten seats for us at the Lights! Motors! Action! Extreme Stunt Show. Unfortunately, my water bottle managed to get broken in the shuffle. Ah well. There were a lot of cars driving in a lot of directions, and Lightning McQueen showed up for a while, but didn't have much to say. I think Big-B really enjoyed the show, but I have to say it didn't do much for me.
(Too tired from following Lego Man around trick-or-treating. Must sleep now.)
