Review: Hunters Unlucky

Not posting this to the reading bingo because I technically finished it last year.

Hunters Unlucky by Abbie Hilton

I've been a huge fan of Abbie's work through the releases of The Prophet of Panamindora series and The Guild of the Cowry Catchers, so of course I was excited to get into a new world of her's. Similar in that there are talking animals, after that the mythology, plot and characters are all their own. Set in the aftermath of a species war, this full length novel follows the next generation and how they rebel against what they feel is an unfair "peace" treaty. The growth of the characters and their movement is great to follow. There are many dark moments, but overall it's a story of forgiveness and redemption.
