Torchwood: Children of Earth sucked. Not happy at all, even after a full night's sleep.
I went to bed pissed and am still upset.
That had to be one of the most depressing endings to a series I've ever seen. I know there are already rumors about a 4th season, but I doubt I'll watch it. 80% of the reasons I watched the show was for Jack/Ianto. And I can kinda see how destroying some of Jack's humanity and most of his life is setting him up for the Face of Bo thing, but Ianto's death was so pointless. Just, poof, dead. I was totally expecting Jack to crack and kick some 456 ass, but no, he just kinda gives up too.
So now everyone on the team is gone, except Gwen who I've never liked. Stupid BBC cutting funding.
EDIT: Oh, but I did scare Paul a bit about my version on the spin the Brit government should have used. He kinda looked at me funny when I said "Oh, just say the kids will be colonists on the alien's planet, they will be emissaries and honored guest." Much better than "they will get shots" and then have the army forcibly take them. Hell, my way the kids would have wanted to go.
Now I can read some of the thoughts from other fandom people, but I think it will take some pretty convincing arguments to keep me in fandom. I think this mini-series is enough to drive me away. I've never been a fan of AU stories, so I can't even fall back on that.
