Longish Birthday post...
Saturday while taking the puppy for a walk (between party chores) we saw a flock of small birds, most likely sparrows, that must had over 500 birds in it. It was really cool to see them flying around, breaking into smaller groups and then rejoining. The murder of like 70 crows was not as cool though. Had flashbacks to The Birds.
Party went well Saturday night, I think we had about 20 show up. Paul's costume was a hit. Mom and grandma seemed to have a good time meeting all our friends. We watched some movies, talked, played games. Good times. Got good gifts too, Torchwood season 2, Heros season 2, Indian Jones and the Crystal Skull, Baroque (a Wii game), and the Stardust novel by Neil Gaimen. There were quiet a few people there that I wasn't expecting, Ben, Egon, Gina, Blythe, which was really nice.
Sunday I cleaned the house, had brunch with mom, grandma, cousin Nate and his GF, and Paul, and then we went to our sports. We won only 2 out of 6 games, but that was OK.
Today I had to get up early to take the car in to have it's breaks replaced. And JP has started to worry us. He didn't eat much either meal on Sunday, and then this morning he wouldn't eat at all. He seems otherwise fine, active, plays, eats treats. It wasn't until Paul fed him by hand that he ate. So maybe he doesn't like his bowl? Never heard of that before.
Now I'm working a half day at Four Lakes, then work the mall. Would have liked to have the day off and hang out with Paul, but duty calls. Need to work on some art, I owe birthday pieces, and my aunt has commissioned me to do a sketch of my uncle and his hunting dog for their anniversary. That's due by the end of the week.
