Ok, so I work in a very ritzy and expensive spa. People who come here have a lot of money. It doesn't surprise me when people who work here get tips for doing next to nothing. I have never gotten a tip while working here. For anything. Usually it doesn't bother me. On occasion I get upset when it seems like everyone else at the front desk is receiving $5 or $10 tips on a given day, and I get nothing.

Today was the kicker.

I work my ass off here. Come to think of it, I work my ass off wherever it is I work. Not only do I never get any acknowlegement from anyone I work for or with, but I also don't receive any feedback from the customers. Today, one of the girls I work with who is relatively nice, but doesn't work as hard as a few of us, received a $100 tip from a customer just for checking him in for his treatment. What. The. Fuck. The sick thing is, if I had been the one to check him in, I would've gotten the tip. That one was just luck of the draw and, as usual, I was *not* the lucky one.

This is the day after writing the above rant. I don't feel a whole lot better.
I did have a milk and honey sugar body scrub after work last night which calmed me down a bit. I am still a bit upset though. My questions remain: why have I never received a tip? will I ever receive a tip? am I not nice? should I keep working as hard as I do knowing I will never be rewarded for it?

At least I am done with this job in a month. Then it's back up to Nephew's of Mackinac where I will be assistant managing [and still not receiving tips].

I have been very career-focused lately. I just bought a binder, dividers, highlighters, and whatnot from Walmart so that I can begin my career serach and stay organized in the process. (Since you know my OCD requries organization). I'm really getting into it too. It's just hard to look for a job when I don't really need one until September or October. Can you imagine me with a new career in a new city for my 24th birthday??? Scary thought!

That's about all I have for right now.
Please send out some prayers and good wishes for my cousin David. He's only 40 years old, amd may have lung cancer. It's looking pretty not good right now. Thanks.
